Incredible 17” length antique watch chain in the perfect versatile curb/bar/figaro style link.
There are loads of unique hallmarks throughout the piece, including on clasps, chain ends, and even on a few of the bar links along the length of the chain. They took a while to trace, but can be placed as Austro-Hungarian government purity stamps dating to between 1867-1937, a wolf’s head facing left. There is also a makers mark, the letter A, stamped into the bolt clasp. Such a beautiful and rare piece of history!
Chain links are completely solid, gorgeous patina, just lovely to wear.
In excellent vintage condition: minor wear as expected with age, few dings to bolt clasp, no damage or other issues found.
